It’s that time of the year ✨

This holiday season, we are excited to announce our limited offering of socially-distanced "Porch Portraits" for the neighbors of San Mateo!

We know how difficult it has been for individuals and families to cherish memories during the pandemic. With 2020 almost over, we want to help you safely and easily capture the beautiful moments life and share your story whether it’s for yourself, with a significant other, or the whole family.

All proceeds will be donated to the local Samaritan House to help families in need.

Frequently asked questions

What should I prepare?

The night before, pick out your favorite outfit. Solid colors and comfort are recommended. Also, check out your porch and make sure it’s ready for the photoshoot.

15 minutes before our scheduled shoot, be ready with your hair, makeup, shoes, kids, and/or dogs.

How is this safe?

The photoshoot will be conducted entirely outside. Upon arrival, I will call the phone number submitted in our form to begin the session. During the photoshoot, I will wear a mask and stay a distance of 10 feet or more at all times. The session itself should take only 15 minutes or less.

Can I add my own creative theme?

Absolutely, feel free to dress up or hold props if you like! Showcase your life during the pandemic by bringing things that symbolize what you’ve been up to.

This is completely optional. A regular, smiling portrait works just as well.

What camera will you be using?

During our photoshoot I will use a Nikon DSLR camera with a 20-700mm lens. This will ensure we will remain a distance of 10 feet or more.

How much does this cost?

All sessions are free and donation-based. Proceeds will go to the Samaritan House to help families in need during this time. Click on “Pay what you want” to contribute. A donation of $40 is encouraged but not necessary.

When will photos be ready?

All photos are ready for download within 7 days of the photoshoot. You will receive a download link to your email address.

Why are you doing this?

We know how difficult it has been for individuals and families to save memories during the pandemic. With 2020 almost over, we thought it would be a great opportunity to capture beautiful moments of life and joy for our neighbors, share your personal stories, and do it for a good cause.

I don’t live in San Mateo, can I participate?

Unfortunately, at this time we are limiting sessions to the residents of San Mateo. For future outdoor photoshoots, please send a request via our Contact form or to hello@studioely.com. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
